After months of lockdowns, flat spells and poor conditions the shootout finals day finally got the green light. Sunday 25th April was a go, starting bright and early with the Groms Session, followed by the Men’s Semi Finals, Womens Expression Session and wrapping up a waiting period only mirrored by the WSL big wave comps with the Men’s Finals. A day full of “Style. Speed. Power. Control.” and the best vibes, with the wins going to Lauren Sandland, Candice O’Donnell and Ben Skinner for possessing the essence in their respective heats.
