A week ago saw a bunch of the UK’s best young surfers come together at Fistral Beach to battle it out for the title of the UK’s Ultimate Grom and spot at the European finals which is to be held ‘Somewhere’ in October. Unfortunately due to work commitments I only made it down to shoot the last few heats of the finals day, what I saw blew my mind, I was in awe of the sheer talent of these youngsters and so proud of the next generation of UK surfers, the future is in very capable hands, don’t believe me? The number 1 spots went to Tom Hook and Belle Betteridge for the under 16s, local ripper Lukas Skinner took the trophy along with Betsy Owen for the under 14s, and the under 12s champs were Harvey Waters and Lila Skinner, winning her first ever comp!
