North Wales based freelance action photographer.

I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. From being 7 years old on holiday in north Devon when my mum bought me a cheap point and shoot, and a roll of film from Boots. I spent the holiday bugging my family with that camera, snapping them and the beautiful beaches where I fell in love with the ocean and surf, and nothing has changed since.

My love for photography grew as I got older, as a teen I spent a lot of time with friends that skate so I naturally started shooting them, but with a longing to be by the sea I moved away to Newquay, Cornwall for university to study photography. That’s where my passion for Surf Photography really blossomed and 3 years later I came away from uni with an Fda in Action Photography and BA(Hons) in Applied Media.

After moving home to the Vale Of Clwyd I travel as much as possible to the surf and get up to the trails as often as I can too. Massively influenced by my older brother, biking has become another subject I love to shoot, that along with pretty much everything else, put a camera in my hand and I’m as happy as Lanny.
